Description

Dragon turtles are so large—up to 200 feet long—that they are sometimes mistaken for rocky outcroppings or small islands. They are not true dragons, but they are close enough in play to use the dragon breath rules.

This stat block represents a typical adult. Smaller or larger dragon turtles can be modeled by reducing or increasing Hit Dice in steps of 5. Due to their massive size, dragon turtles are immune to virtually all poisons.

The breath weapon is a cloud of scalding steam. A typical adult cloud is about 100 feet long and 75 feet wide. Use the normal White Box dragon age rule for breath damage: an adult 30 HD dragon turtle deals 120 points of breath damage, and a successful saving throw halves the damage.
