Description
If struck by a non-magical metal (even partially metal) weapon, the wielder must make a successful saving throw against magic or the weapon will become stuck in the monster. If this happens, it cannot be removed until the statue is "killed."
Living Statue Notes
Living statues are magically animated automatons used as guards for tombs, treasure rooms, and similar places. Unlike golems, they are not animated by elemental spirits, so they do not go berserk; they follow simple programming and cannot be meaningfully commanded in the way a servant creature can.
The three individual entries have distinct mechanics. Crystal living statues have no special powers. Iron living statues can trap non-magical metal weapons unless the wielder saving throws against magic. Stone living statues attack with a 5-foot spray of molten rock rather than an ordinary fist attack.
