Description

Sea Monsters are a general class of creatures that may be encountered on an ocean voyage. Some are serpentine, others constructed more like squids or octopi, and still others like truly huge crabs or lobsters. The GM should choose a type, then select features that seem reasonable. In White Box terms, pick a single primary attack form — bite, tentacle, or claw — doing 1d6+2 points of damage. A gigantic crab-like sea monster might have the best AC 2 [17], while a more serpentine form might trade armor for speed or reach.

Whatever form they are found in, sea monsters are always voracious monsters who seek to sink ships and then eat whatever creatures they find thereon.
